 La Pines Cafe

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Desserts. Comfort Food in Slidell just got better.

“Meet me under the water tower” has been the directions to Slidell’s favorite gathering spot for home cooked breakfast and lunches since 1991. La. Pines’ founding principle that good food and quick service should go hand in hand hasn’t changed. Mike, La. Pines’ owner, feels the key to success is the ability to make the kitchen run like a smooth machine.

“There is an art in getting the food out and it better be good! Great meals start with high quality ingredients and that’s where we start!”
~ Michael Murray

Great food, great service, great prices! The wait staff was amazingly friendly and fast. They came by several times to fill our coffees and make sure everything is good. The food was quite good. The pancakes were light and fluffy and were giant. The bacon was cooked to perfection as well. The mexican burrito had great salsa with it and an amazing taste. The coffee is average but cheap compared to most places so can't complain there. The amount of food you get for the price is astounding. For $6.49 I got 1 egg, 4 strips of bacon, and 3 giant pancakes. The pancakes alone could feed two people. The Mexican burrito was $6.99 and coffee $1.89 so in all we paid $21 after tip for two giant meals.

Very busy and the service was good but a little slow (it was very busy). Good food and a reasonable price.

“Good Breakfast”

“The poached eggs were great. I had the poached eggs on crab cakes! Delicious!!! Pancakes were good. Seemed like the staff genuinely liked each other and worked well. With each other. This place was packed with locals.”

“We have had breakfast here several times. The food is good and the cost is very acceptable. Usually don’t have long to wait for a table. The staff is very nice. “

Great little cozy cafe

It’s like a home setting and the waitresses work very hard and are very kind. We go anytime we can. Highly recommend!

“Food was great!”

Found this place while in the area for the first time. Searched for Cajun breakfast and found La Pines Cafe. Ordered the Crab Cake Egg Benedict from the special weekend menu. Food was great, came out quickly. Service excellent.
